Laguna Niguel

 

Laguna Niguel is a predominantly residential community of beautiful sandy beaches, stunning sunsets, ocean breezes, green valleys and rolling hills that offers residents a casual, yet sophisticated, lifestyle.  The words Laguna Niguel are of Spanish origin.  Laguna means lagoon, and Niguel is derived from the name of an Indian village called Nigueli, which was once located on Aliso Creek.

        Laguna Niguel Regional Park 154 acres on La Paz Road near Aliso Creek Road, with a 43-acre stocked lake for fishing and boat rentals for sailing, as well as tennis courts, picnic shelters, equestrian trails and a childrens play area.

        Crown Valley Community Park 42 acres located on Crown Valley Parkway.  Facilities include a clubhouse, junior olympic-sized swimming pool, wading pool, picnic areas and ball fields.

        Salt Creek Beach Park 1,600 acres of beautiful sandy beaches with restrooms, summer lifeguards and parking lots accommodating up to 850 cars.  Located at Pacific Coast Highway and Niguel Road.

        Dana Point Harbor located less than 1 mile from Laguna Niguel, boasting a setting for a maritime village, with restaurants and shops.  Over 2,000 boats are berthed at this harbor.

        Orange County Marine Institute located at 35502 Del Obispo, adjacent to Dana Point Harbor.  Highlights include displays of marine life and educational and research facilities.

        The Links at Monarch Beach located on Stonehill Drive, off Pacific Coast Highway and Niguel Road, this golf course is both scenic and challenging.

        Ritz Carlton Hotel and St. Regis Hotel both located on Monarch Beach.  These resorts are each a must to visit, especially during the holiday season.

The Allure of Orange County
